A few thoughts before you dive into my newest album, Thessaloniki.
A quick escape from the German clouds turned into one of the most unexpectedly relaxing weekends I’ve had in a while. My boyfriend and I, along with two friends, spent four days in Thessaloniki on a mission to find good weather and not spend a fortune—and we pulled it off perfectly.
Between incredible meals, a spontaneous visit to a museum ship, and slow seaside strolls, the whole trip had this calm, unhurried vibe. What stood out the most, though, was how quiet the city felt. Aside from one day when a cruise ship docked and let out a wave of tourists, it often felt like we had Thessaloniki to ourselves—just us and the locals going about their day.
This little album captures some of those slow moments by the sea and the charm of a city that doesn’t try too hard, because it doesn’t have to.
